Budding Artist
Owen has hit the stage where he loves to draw AND you can almost tell what it is. He drew this fun little octopus the other morning while we were getting dressed for work. I love that octopus. If he hadn't gone to town shortly after and scribbled all over it, I would have framed it and hung it on the wall.

Becoming Distinguished
We celebrated Ed's birthday last night with good food, friends and family. Ed, Dick and Ellie, Todd, Patty, Heidi and Staci and Brandon were all in attendance to wish Ed a very happy 32nd birthday. The night was cool and raining, which is always a treat in Arizona, and the pool light shone all night. Overall, I do believe Ed had a very nice birthday.
31 was a little hectic - here's to a calmer 32!

How Does Your Garden Grow
Ours is growing like crazy. Our corn is knee high way before the 4th of July. (Ed loves saying this.) All the plants have flowers blooming. This garden thing is fun.
This picture was taken a month ago. The little transplants look so cute.
Bam! Look at them grow. The pumpkins are a little out of control, to Owen's delight. I *kind of* misread the planting directions and thought it read for them to be planted 4-8 inches apart. I planted them a foot apart. I was instead supposed to plant them 4-8 feet apart. The pumpkin plants are going to be cozy this year.
The first veggie - a cucumber!

Celebrate Good Times
These past couples weeks have been a whirlwind of activity. Georgia, Crystal, Debby and Ron all came into town and at the last minute, Billie Jo and Jerry decided to get out of the 14 inches of snow and head to the sun also. We had a birthday, Easter, anniversary and other celebrations. It went by quickly and it's always hard to say good-bye but we are happy we could celebrate so many things with the people we love. We will post more event specific photos later but until then, here are a few photos to show how we have been spending the last ten or so days.
Visiting with Auntie Georgia.
Celebrating Owen's 3rd birthday.
Finding eggs that the tricky Easter Bunny hid.
Riding the train at the Railroad Park.
And just being with people we love...
