We bought a new couch the other day from Costco and in true Costco style, the couch came in a gigantic box. It seemed a waste to just break it down and recycle it so we invited Miles over to help Owen paint a fort.
Started out in an orderly fashion using a paint brush and not mixing colors.
Moved to the inside to paint "furniture"; realized it's fun to fling paint.
Decided paint brushes were totally unnecessary when you have hands. Shortly after this shot, Owen decided his belly was an even better painting tool.
The artist in all his glory.

Hey O- I think we're painting our house in the summer and it looks like you know just the way to get the most out of a job. We could use your belly brush here too. Want to help? Love, Auntie Trina
What a great pre-use of a fort,... packing a couch in it. Hmmm, this could catch on. And what a great way to move forts around. shhh! Don't tell the pentagon.
Looking forward to seeing you all next month.
This so reminds me of the day we were at the Children's Museum with Tejas and Owen. I was just looking at the pictures of them painting that castle the other day. Gotta say Owen's had a pretty darn good few days here, what with the Monster Truck show and then painting a huge fort with your best friend! I don't care what the Miller beer company says, Owen, it doesn't get any better than that!
Lots of Love, Grandma Bug
