Our garden is, so far, growing okay this year. We have gotten some tomatoes and sweet banana peppers, and our zucchini plants are growing like crazy. The leaves on those plants are huge. We had no idea. A zucchini finally matured enough that we were able to pick it today. Owen is adamant that it is a cucumber. Adamant. Per Owen, cucumbers are green and zucchini is brown. (Also, per Owen, boys listen to music with guitars and girls listen to music with pianos. But that's another story.)
Posing next to the zucchini plant. The leaves are almost as big as Owen.
Owen has been very anxious to finally pick a zucchini-cucumber.
Our first zucchini-cucumber! Owen wants to cut it up and put it in his lunch. I'm voting we grill it. Either way, it will definitely be enjoyed.

Carrie, in that last picture Owen looks so much like you! Amazing! I hope you guys grilled the zucchini, it looked perfect for that. Maybe you saved a piece of it for Owen's lunch?
The garden looks fabulous! Love you guys, Mom/Grandma Bug
Your garden is our inspiration. Kevin and I have planted and are watering, fertilizing, and weeding away but I don't think we can compete with that AZ sun. Our zucchini plant is 1/4 the size of yours. Looks great guys!
Miss you all.
Love Shannon
