We finally got enough breathing room here to put together Owen's bed he got for Christmas from my mom and grandma. It went well and Owen got to "help." It's been a couple of days now and so far, so good with him (and us) adapting to life free of bars. He's pretty happy with himself now that he's a big boy. It's actually a big deal to him that he is doing "big boy" stuff now and not doing stuff "for babies." It's funny how we identify ourselves.
Happy as can be.
Story time has moved to Owen's room. This is a good transition because it gets him out of "me sleep in mama's bed?" mode.
Best of all, he's happy sleeping in his big boy bed.

I was showing Tejas that Ownee is in a big boy bed now and Tejas says,"Oh, he doesn't sleep in that wood thing now?" I asked if he meant his crib and he says, "Yeah, that wood thing." I laughed as I recalled all of the cribs in Tejas ever slept in were metal bared beds.
It's great to see the bed all put together! And I'm really glad to hear he likes it . . . boy, it looks huge in the pictures. I see all of his favorite bedtime pals are with him, too. :0) Can't wait to see him in it in person, and to read him bedtime stories in it, too. I see he's liking a little longer books. Wonderful! Chapter books may be next . . .
Lots and Lots of Love, Mom / Grandma Bug
