Later Mama - I'm Sleepin

Our morning routine has changed. Owen used to be the first one up at 5:30 am. Now he likes to sleep in anywhere between 7:30-8:30 am. This is very nice on the weekends but makes weekday mornings a little tricker. He likes to take his sweet time waking up and if you wake him too quickly, we have a grouchy toddler on our hands.


To start the wake-up process, we move him from his room to ours as we get ready. (Love the hair sticking up!)


Before he leaves for work, Ed tries to fully wake Owen up so that he can say good-bye. There were a few times that Ed didn't say good-bye before he left and Owen was surprisingly upset.


If I'm lucky, I get this when he wakes up. Other times I have a grumpy little boy who doesn't want to get dressed. It's on those days, that by time I have him dressed, fed and at daycare, I feel like I need to go home and take a nap before heading into work.
