This holiday season, in an effort to save a little scratch and create something somewhat unique, we decided on the prints route. We made footprint reindeer for the grandparents and handprint CDs for a more diverse audience.
We acknowledge that the reindeer have practically no value other than the sentimental variety, but at least they have a fair degree of that.
The CD, on the other hand, is cute and all, but has the added bonus of containing some arguably good tunes on it. Note: Some people have asked about the playlist of the CD, but we sent out 4 different versions, so if you want to know who's singing what the discs are encoded with text. A computer or newer car CD player will display songs and artists.
So, we're pretty confident that we've sent out some gifts that are fun and original as well as things people enjoy being the posessers of. That being said, here's a shot of what it took to get those adorable little feet.
Owen was stoked about this project.

Wouldn't it be something if babies could remember everything that happens to them (for their whole life, I mean)? Think of all the fabulous memories Owen would have already. Think of all the things he could tell you about what he thought and how he felt. Look at the expression on his face, this would have to be one of the times he would ask "What in the world is going on here?! And WHAT is all that orange stuff?"
I'm sure I'm speaking for all his grandparents: Our pictures are priceless, Owen. It was SO worth it! The music is priceless, too. All the songs he heard when he was first hearing songs. Loved them. Love you guys, too. Grandma Bug
Hi guys, Thank you very much for the great disk! I actually keep it at work to listen to in an attempt to improve the environment. What a thoughtful gift that keeps on giving! I think of you all each time I listen to it. Miss and love you three! Jen
I think that both of these "eye"deas are very original. :-) Good work :-)
btw....I need to know what size diapers owen is wearing?
love you three, becky
I'm looking at this with Tejas on my lap. It is rather tough because Tejas keeps yelling, "No, no. Ownee, Ownee!" every time I go to reading something and not looking at Owen's pictures. Tejas loves this blog. Love, Katrina
