Owen has put together that if he points to his mouth he gets milk. It's his new favorite gesture (well, it's his only gesture really), but he uses it a lot. There is direct eye contact and a polite gesturing to his mouth. If his request is not granted things get a little messy, but when recognized, life remains civil. It's also pretty fun to watch his uncoordinated hands point to anything in the vicinity of his mouth. Like his ear.

In the first picture it looks as if he's signing "toilet"! Looks like you have a creative genious on your hands. Get him started on sign language right away...and your communication w/ him will sky rocket.

I was so "not ready" for that... (Owen communicating!!) It hardly seems possible! It looks like he's already become aware of the law of supply and demand: "If I demand it, you will supply it". What a smart boy!!
